Rapid Cleaner for commercial heating and closed cooling systems.
Sentinel X800 Fast Acting Cleaner is a heavy-duty cleaner for small or large commercial heating and closed-circuit cooling systems. It is formulated to penetrate and remove iron oxide and calcium based deposits from the entire circuit, including boilers, heat exchangers, radiators and pipe work. It is ideal when systems require immediate, unplanned cleaning.
This product has replaced Sentinel Senticlene 8500.
Key features
Removes iron & calcium based deposits.
Restores circulation & system efficiency.
Protects metals during cleaning.
Heavy-duty, effective hot or cold.
No neutralisation procedure is needed.
Prepares older systems for the installation of new components.
BESCHRIJVING
The unique composition of Sentinel X800 Fast Acting Cleaner provides a powerful penetrating cleaning action. It will restore more even heat distribution to a property, keeping occupants warmer and bills lower. The rapid, heavy-duty clean that Sentinel Fast Acting Cleaner provides is ideal when commercial heating systems require immediate, unscheduled maintenance.
Best practice, derived from documentation provided by industry organisations such as BSRIA or the Industrial & Commercial Energy Association (ICOM), is that an older commercial heating system should be thoroughly cleaned and flushed out before the installation of a new boiler.
Reviving an old heating system is a more cost-effective way to return warmth to a property than the installation of a whole new system. Cleaning before installing a new component also prolongs the effective life of the new component, whether a radiator, boiler or heat exchanger, reducing maintenance and replacement costs.
GEBRUIK
Sentinel X800 Fast Acting Cleaner should be used as a 1% solution in mains water to remove typical levels of deposits of iron oxide and calcium carbonate. Where systems are badly fouled, a higher concentration (up to 10%) is recommended.
The circulation pump of the system can be used to circulate the cleaning solution; however equipment which provides a more rapid circulation can provide a more effective clean. When using an external cleaning rig, the product can be dosed directly to the buffer tank of the rig (follow equipment manufacturer’s instructions).
X800 Fast Acting Cleaner should be circulated, preferably at normal operating temperature, with all valves open and the pump turned to maximum flow for a minimum period of 3 hours or until satisfactory performance is restored.
For large or heavily fouled commercial systems, the cleaning period may have to be extended and the cleaning temperature elevated.
After cleaning, the system should be drained and flushed until the water runs clear. On refilling, the system should be treated with Sentinel X100 Inhibitor or Sentinel X500 Inhibited Antifreeze.
It is recommended that X800 Fast Acting Cleaner is used in accordance with standard cleaning and commissioning protocols such as BSRIA Guide “Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems”.
Feed the product as follows:
Open heating systems: Feed the product into an area of adequate flow or use a by-pass feeder.
Closed heating & cooling systems: If the system is empty, add the product to any convenient point before filling. If full, use a pressure dosing vessel to inject the product into the system.
