Commercial X300 Cleaner for New SystemsClean
For new commercial heating and cooling systems
Engineered specifically for preparing new commercial heating or closed cooling systems for commissioning, Sentinel X300 Cleaner for New Systems is a powerful, heavy-duty cleaner which targets installation debris and grease. Removing them prepares the system for treatment with Sentinel X100 Inhibitor or Sentinel X500 Inhibited Antifreeze. This will protect the system components, prolong their effective life and help the system run more energy-efficiently.
- Cleans new systems (up to 6 months old)
- Powerful, heavy duty cleaning action
- Removes installation debris
- Washes off manufacturing greases
- Eliminates corrosive flux residue
- Prevents harmful copper deposits being left in the system
- Prepares system for protection with X100 Inhibitor or X500 Inhibited Antifreeze

New commercial heating systems can often be contaminated with metal swarf, grits and sands, and flux entering the system throughout its installation. This debris can mix with greases or oils present on new components, which can then lead to rapid pin-hole corrosion. To protect a system, these contaminants should be removed prior to commissioning and the system treated with a quality inhibitor.
Best practice, derived from documentation such as BSRIA Guide “Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems” or similar Water Treatment Guidelines from industry organisations such as the Industrial & Commercial Energy Association (ICOM), is that a central heating system should be thoroughly cleaned and flushed out before the installation of the new boiler.
Sentinel X300 Cleaner for New Systems should be dosed at 1% of system volume, i.e. 1 litre per 100 litres of system water.
The circulation pump of the system can be used to circulate the Sentinel X300 Cleaner for New Systems solution; however equipment which provides a more rapid circulation can provide a more effective clean. When using an external cleaning rig, the product can be dosed directly to the buffer tank of the rig (follow equipment manufacturer’s instructions).
Sentinel X300 Cleaner for New Systems should be circulated, preferably at normal operating temperature, with all valves open and the pump turned to maximum flow for a minimum period of 3 hours.
If it is not possible to heat the water, the circulation time should be extended to at least 24 hours. After cleaning, the system should be drained and flushed until the water runs clear. On refilling, the system should be treated with Sentinel X100 Inhibitor or Sentinel X500 Inhibited Antifreeze.
It is recommended that Sentinel X300 Cleaner for New Systems is used in accordance with standard cleaning and commissioning protocols such as BSRIA Guide “Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems” or similar Water Treatment Guidelines from industry organisations such as the Industrial & Commercial Energy Association (ICOM).
Feed the product as follows:
External flushing rig: Feed the product in an area of adequate flow in the buffer tank. Follow the machine manufacturer’s instructions.
Open heating systems: Feed the product into an area of adequate flow or use a by-pass feeder.
Closed heating & cooling systems: If the system is empty, add the product to any convenient point before filling. If full, use a pressure dosing vessel to inject the product into the system.
