Method 1 - boiler stop valve (1/2" female fitting)

1. Go to the filling loop and locate the threaded hose connection point at the system end. The hose should be connected to the system through a ball valve.
2. Thread the ½” female BSP adaptor onto the exposed male threads at the hose connection point on the ball valve. Use a spanner to gently nip up the adaptor to ensure a water tight seal.
3. Slowly open the ball valve. The black bullet should move towards the can end of the adaptor to form a seal and prevent fluid loss from the system. Catch any escaped fluid with a rag.
4. Insert the male can adaptor into the female bayonet socket. Push in and rotate the adaptor. The chemical product will now automatically flow into the system.
5. When the chemical has completely emptied into the system (after ~ 30 seconds), the bayonet connection can then be released. Catch any excess fluid with a rag.
6. Close the ball valve.
7. Remove the adaptor from the system. The hose can be reconnected but should always be disconnected at one end to avoid the risk of any contamination of the fresh water supply.

Method 2 - radiator (bleed valve)

1. Isolate a radiator and slowly remove the bleed pin to drain the excess fluid.
2. Unthread the 1/2” female BSP adaptor from the 1/2” male and then thread the needle adaptor into the bleed pin hole ensuring it is firmly located. It may be necessary to trim back the needle to suit different valve designs.
3. Open the radiator valves. The black bullet should move towards the can end of the adaptor to form a seal and prevent fluid release from the system. Catch any excess fluid with a rag.
4. Insert the male can adaptor into the female bayonet socket. Push in and rotate the adaptor. The chemical product will now automatically flow into the system.
5. When the chemical has completely emptied into the system (after ~ 30 seconds), the bayonet connection can then be released. Catch any excess fluid with a rag.
6. Close the radiator valves and then remove the adaptor from the bleed valve, catching any excess chemical in a container.
7. The bleed pin can be then be refitted and the radiator valves re-opened.

Method 3 - radiator (1/2" male fitting)

1. Isolate a radiator and slowly remove the bleed pin to drain the excess fluid into a container. Then remove the complete valve assembly from the radiator body to expose a ½” female BSP threading. Further fluid will be released at this point.
2. Unthread the 1/2” female BSP adaptor from the 1/2” male and then thread the male end into the radiator body. Use a spanner to carefully nip up the threads to ensure a water tight seal.
3. Open the radiator valves. The black bullet should move towards the can end of the adaptor to form a seal and prevent fluid release from the system. Catch any excess fluid with a rag.
4. Insert the male can adaptor into the female bayonet socket. Push in and rotate the adaptor. The chemical product will now automatically flow into the system.
5. When the chemical has completely emptied into the system (after ~ 30 seconds), the bayonet connection can then be released. Catch any excess fluid with a rag.
6. Close the radiator valves and then slowly remove the adaptor from the radiator, catching the excess chemical in a container.
7. The vent valve can be then be refitted along with bleed pin and the radiator valves re-opened.

Method 4 - system filter

1. Isolate the filter from the system and remove the bleed pin from the valve at the top of the filter. Catch any excess fluid with a rag.
2. Unthread the 1/2” female BSP adaptor from the 1/2” male and then thread the needle adaptor into the bleed pin hole ensuring it is firmly located. It may be necessary to trim back the needle.
3. Open the filter valves. The black bullet should move towards the can end of the adaptor to form a seal and prevent fluid release from the system. Catch any excess fluid with a rag.
4. Insert the male can adaptor into the female bayonet socket. Push in and rotate the adaptor. The chemical product will now automatically flow into the system.
5. When the chemical has completely emptied into the system (after ~ 30 seconds), the bayonet connection can then be released. Catch any excess fluid with a rag.
6. Close the filter valves and then slowly remove the adaptor from the filter, catching any excess fluid with a rag.
7. The vent valve pin can be then be refitted and the filter valves reopened.
